Approved Inspector Services
Almost all building projects require Building Regulation Approval even if they don’t need Planning Permission. You can either apply to your Local Authority for Building Regulation Approval or appoint an Approved Inspector. Only companies licensed by the Construction Industry Council can offer this service. We hold licence 153 on the register, see ww.cic.org.uk Approved Inspectors are not just another consultant or intermediary, you are dealing direct with the decision makers.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our service, and our ethical approach, which has won us many awards. As a small family business, we are large enough to cope but still small enough to care whatever size of project you have planned.
We deal with over 600 projects every year and have experience of almost every type of domestic project that you can think of, and some that you probably hadn’t thought of too! Sectors include commercial and retail through to education, health and ecclesiastical.

Access Audits
The purpose of an Access Audit is to establish how well a building performs in relation to access and ease of use by a wide range of potential users, including people with physical, mobility and sensory impairments. It will identify where the building falls short of the requirements of current guidance such as BS8300 and Part M of the Building Regulations.

- Our Access Consultants are all practicing Building Control Surveyors, unlike many of our competitors and some have previously worked for Local Authorities

Fire Risk Assessment
We take the headache out of compliance, providing general and specific fire risk assessments to meet your needs. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) requires occupiers of premises to appoint a responsible person and to regularly assess the fire safety measures in the form of a detailed fire risk assessment.
If you don’t have an up-to-date assessment you could be at risk of large fines and of invalidating your insurance.
We offer both Construction Phase and Post Occupation Fire Risk Assessments including Timber Frame Buildings.
Why us?
• We use qualified fire engineers (MIFireE), who understand fire codes and how to apply them to maximise occupancy and minimise risk
• All risk assessments are backed up with supporting photographic evidence
• We are market leaders in providing construction phase risk assessments to address risk to occupied buildings during construction and refurbishment work in line with HSG 168.
• We don’t sell or install equipment so wont recommend anything that you don’t actually need.
Fire Strategy
We offer a range of Fire Strategy services to meet your needs including:-
• Statements to support Planning applications under the London Plan policy D11.
• Reviewing the design documentation produced by others to ensure that it complies with Part B and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
• Identify any aspects of the design where changes would be required, or fire engineering analyses are needed.
• Confirming the principles of the fire strategy with the design team.
Why us?
- We use qualified fire engineers (MIFireE), who understand fire codes and how to apply them to maximise occupancy and minimise risk.
